Description: October is Let's Talk Month, an annual effort to encourage parents to talk with their children and adolescents about sexulaity - related topics. Despite what some adults may think, they have an enormous influence on youth's decisions about relationships and sex.
The Responsible Sex Education Institute of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains will be offering a FREE presentation entitled Talk is Power. Talk is Power is a seminar for adults which is intended to build confidence in talking about sex and sexuality and to help parents give their children a solid foudnation of knowledge so their youth feel empowered to make healthy, responsible decisions about sexual health and realationships. This presentation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Durango Public Library, 1900 east Third Ave. Parents and caregivers of chidlren of all ages are welcome to attend.
