Aaron Unterreiner has been with the Durango Herald since 2004, serving first as a sports writer before assuming sports editor duties in 2009. A native of St. Louis, Unterreiner received a journalism degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. He worked part-time for the Springfield News-Leader, serving as a sportswriter and an agate clerk before moving to Durango. Unterreiner has received awards from the Colorado Press Association and the Colorado AP Writers and Editors organization.
