Earthen Vessel will present “An Evening with Nick Blaisdell” with the master potter of Dalton Ranch Pottery. Using a variety of handmade tools, Blaisdell carves and textures his clay forms to create one-of-a-kind works of art. “These pots come from a very quiet place inside of me,” he writes. “My intent is to make pots of lasting value that transcend time and origins. They mirror my life and my journey with clay. They are what I am and what I believe. I feel truly honored to do this as my life’s work.”

Karyn Gabaldon Fine Arts will host “My Asian Autumn,” a collection of watercolors by Fort Lewis College Art Professor Emeritus Laurel Covington Vogl. Singer-songwriter Jenny Winegardner will perform. Vintage kimonos will also be for sale and proceeds from sales during Vogl’s show, which will remain on display through Oct. 20, to Mercy Breast Care Center. Vogl also will give a talk at 3 p.m. Sunday at the gallery.

Studio & will feature the art of Rosie Carter, including the multimedia creation “A Hush Fell.” Tonight’s Gallery Walk marks the final time Carter’s work, which has been on display this summer at the Main Avenue arts collective, will be available. Also on display are works by & member artists Elizabeth Kinahan, Clint Reid, Shay Lopez, Tirzah Camacho and Tim Kapustka.

Gadugi Fine Arts will showcase several local and regional artists including Michael Billie’s encaustic wax prints. Billie works with wax and natural materials related to his Navajo culture, incorporating sand, beads, horse hair and other materials that are used in ceremonies and other traditional events. Other artists showing at Gadugi include Maureen May, Sean Stuart, Jinx Bolli and Lona Warne.

Sorrel Sky Gallery will host Navajo jeweler Ray Tracey and Durango painter Phyllis Stapler for Gallery Walk. Both artists will present new works as well as meet and greet collectors. Tracey, who also has acted in several Hollywood films, will give a tufa casting demonstration beginning at 5 p.m.

Sorrel Sky Gallery will host Navajo jeweler Ray Tracey and Durango painter Phyllis Stapler for Gallery Walk. Both artists will present new works as well as meet and greet collectors. Stapler has shown her work at galleries worldwide and is one of Sorrel Sky’s newest artists.
