You say Solina, I say Salida, but the woman with the online handle “grandma1” had the final say.
And Grandma knows best.
She certainly knew more than me, who coughed up a Week 6 doozy with six right and eight wrong to run my overall record to a mediocre 48-42.
Ann Solina won the Week 6 Gridiron Green with a 12-for-14 round, including a successful Sunday-night pick of the maligned Green Bay Packers ending the Houston Texans’ previously unbeaten season.
Shawn Walters of Altoona, Pa., won (13-for-14) the national Green, including the Packers’ upset.
Speaking of the Packers, Ann Laws, our local Week 2 champion who goes by the alias “packerfan,” leads the Green through six weeks with 61 points, and bhagwan leads the Gridiron Gold with 58 points.
