Ski season has arrived in Colorado. A snowboarder catches some air at Arapahoe Basin, the first ski area in North America to open this season on Oct. 17. On Tuesday, Loveland became the state’s second ski area to open. Locals might not have to wait too long to get in some turns: Wolf Creek is planning to open Nov. 2 if conditions permit. Keystone and Copper Mountain also are planning Nov. 2 openings. Durango Mountain Resort is scheduled to open Nov. 23, conditions permitting.
