The dedication of a memorial sculpture honoring slain Durango dentist Tom Grams was attended by about 70 people Friday evening at the Durango Public Library. Friends Sandy Bielenberg, left, and Kelly Rubin were among those who honored Grams, killed by radicals in Afghanistan two years ago after providing dental care to impoverished children in a remote mountain valley. The sculpture was designed by Miki Harder and built by Harder and Rich Stewart.
