First the injury bug took a bite this week, then so did the Bears.
The Dolores High School football team beat the Ignacio Bobcats 47-6 on Friday night in Ignacio in the teams’ final game of the season.
Ignacio (2-7, 1-4 Southern Peaks) scored its lone touchdown on a 1-yard rush with about 5 minutes to go in the fourth quarter, according to Maxpreps.com.
The Bears opened scoring with a 7-point first quarter before romping to 27 in the second frame.
Dolores scored 13 points in the final two quarters, including Chaz Thompson’s 93-yard defensive touchdown with less than a minute to play.
