Durango photographer Gunnar Conrad’s exhibit of 16 “Eyeballs” will remain on display through Jan. 4 at the Lost Dog Bar & Lounge. “I’ve always been fascinated by peoples eyes, so I guess this is just kind of a way to explore that,” Conrad said of the project. “You know the old saying that ‘the eyes are the window to the soul’ but I don’t really think you can tell a person’s emotions just by looking at their eyes... I think we look at a lot more about a person, whether it’s consciously or unconsciously, to get a sense of what they’re feeling. But none the less, I think looking at eyes – especially up close – is really amazing. I think folks will enjoy looking at these images up close and from far away and collectively I think it’s kind of cool to be in a room surrounded by a whole bunch of giant eyeballs.”
