Local Realtor named president of association

Kelly Kniffin, associate broker of RE/MAX Pinnacle in Durango, is the new president-elect of Durango Area Association of Realtors.

Kniffin previously served as a member of the board and vice president. She is a consistent top producer. Her certifications include: Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate Real Estate Institute, Accredited Buyer’s Representative and Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource.

Local nurse receives certification

Hospice of Mercy congratulates Janet Wolvin for recently receiving certification as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse.

Fewer than a dozen nurses have earned this certification in Colorado.

Stylist, color specialist to join local salon

Hair stylist and color-specialist Kellyann Marlow will join Cutting Edge Hair Design, 555 Camino del Rio, Building C, Unit C1, on Jan. 3.

From Connecticut, Marlow studied under master colorists and stylists on the East Coast while working at top salons. Marlow also has lived in Aspen. Marlow enjoys working with children with special needs.

Marlow is available from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and will accept appointments to cater to clients’ needs.
