Chamber to host lunch, learn on March 27

The Durango Chamber of Commerce Lunch & Learn will take place at noon March 27 at First National Bank of Durango, 259 W. Ninth St.

Business Growth Consultant Jay Davis of Davis Advisory Services will present “Three Proven Sales Techniques to Grow Your Business.” Davis will discuss key account-management strategies, bundling and referrals. The cost is $10 for chamber members and $20 for nonmembers. Reservations are required.

Transportation group elects positions

The Southwest Regional Transportation Planning Commission announces the election of a chairman and two vice chairmen at its January meeting.

Bobby Lieb, Chris La May and Ernie Williams began their positions in January. Lieb is a La Plata County commissioner.

La May is the town manager of Bayfield and has served on the commission for 1˝ years.

Williams, a Dolores County commissioner, was re-elected as vice chairman, a position in which he has served for eight years.

The group meets to work on various transportation planning, project and funding issues affecting the region.

The next meeting will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. March 29 at the CDOT Maintenance Facility, 20581 U.S. Highway 160 with video conferencing available in Cortez and Pagosa Springs.
