Follow words in Constitution, not emotions

“There shall be no infringement” is a phrase from our Second Amendment. Lawfully living in this country requires following our founding document, the U.S. Constitution, or amending it. Recently, many of our representatives have voted not to follow it, including Colorado’s governor. I read recently that a lady actually teared up with joy when Gov. John Hickenlooper signed the anti-gun laws.

I understand, but we need to follow our Constitution, not our emotions. What if the teachers in Connecticut were encouraged to carry and defend their small charges? I have a sense that these new gun laws will just add to our problems. The criminals will continue to have guns – they’re criminals, after all.
