Two men in a Subaru traveling southwest on County Road 223 struck a tractor-trailer carrying oil field production water after the driver of the Subaru drifted off the right side of the road then over-corrected about a quarter mile north of U.S. Highway 160 at approximately 4:30 p.m., said Durango Fire & Rescue Authority Battalion Chief Randy Black. The two men were taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center for treatment. The male driver of the truck was not injured, Black said. The Los Pinos Fire Protection District also responded to the scene.
