The incoming recruiting class for the Fort Lewis College Women’s soccer team has grown to six.
Alicia Sanchez signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Skyhawks, FLC head coach Damian Clarke announced Thursday.
Sanchez, a forward and center midfielder, played at Sandia High School in Albuquerque.
She was named first team all-state in 2013 and second team all-state the previous two years.
Sanchez scored 21 goals and had eight assists in her senior season.
“She is player with a uniquely refined skill set. Alicia is a great passer of the ball, with a range and texture that will pose a threat to opposition whenever she is on the ball. She also scores goals, and this year finished sixth in New Mexico,” Clarke said in a release. “She is just a very intelligent soccer player and will be another great student-athlete.”
She joins Savannah Boarman, Miranda Brown, Jessica Singleton, Andra Thaden and Kyleigh Wierenga in FLC’s Class of 2014.
The Skyhawks open the 2014 season Sept. 4 against Texas Woman’s University.
