FLC goes coast-to-coast for three signees

Skyhawks’ women’s lacrosse recruits two from California and one from Florida

Fort Lewis College women’s lacrosse signed three players in two days this week: Ryanne Brust, Taylor Cabrera and Kathryn Smith.

Brust is from Sacramento, Calif.

“Ryanne is a very talented defender,” FLC head coach Kelsey MacDonald said in a news release to The Durango Herald.

“She will be a great addition to our defensive unit.”

Cabrera is from San Marcos, Calif.

“She is a great player who will add a lot of speed and hustle to our midfield,” MacDonald said.

Cabrera is a member of the United States Lacrosse Women’s Development National Team in San Diego. She was named an Under Armour All-American.

Smith is from Casselberry, Fla.

“She is a very athletic player who also has a strong background in soccer, which is very beneficial in overall field sense in the lacrosse game,” MacDonald said.
