Bounty on your head?

People who jumped bail and tried to hide out in Southwest Colorado may have found more than a bounty hunter at their doors in October. The Animal Planet show “Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters” was in town shooting for its 2014 season, and camera crews were accompanying the hunters.

Two episodes featured area locales. Ashleigh Tarkington, owner of the Billy Goat Saloon in Gem Village, was delighted her business was chosen to be the local “hangout” for the bounty hunters.

“They lured a guy who was wanted to the bar and arrested him here,” she said. “But they mostly shot different scenes – playing pool, drinking whiskey, watching football – and a scene where they got a call and had to peel out of the parking lot.”
