Durango’s FastTrack Communications has been named one of the 2014 Colorado Companies to Watch.

FastTrack is one of 50 Colorado businesses to win the award from among more than 1,200 nominees and 106 finalists.

The program is supported by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade and the Edward Lowe Foundation.

A high-speed Internet provider, FastTrack has more than 420 miles of fiber-optic network lines connecting primary markets in Colorado and New Mexico.

In downtown Durango, FastTrack has a 10 gigabit-per-second ring with connected buildings having a minimum of 1 gigabit-per-second connections to each location, the company said.
