The Job Fair runs from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

About 50 local employers will be present, all of whom are looking to hire. Industries in attendance range from restaurants, hotels, health-care providers and everything in between.

Participants include Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort, Mercy Regional Medical Center, Wendy’s, East by Southwest, Express Employment, Dalton Ranch, The Springs Resort, Colorado Department of Transportation, Comfort Inn, Backcountry Experience, Durango Coca-Cola, Home Depot, Four Corners Broadcasting, Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and many more.

Attendants are advised to bring résumés and dress professionally. Colorado Workforce Center will be present to assist people create résumés as needed.

At the previous two job fairs, some attendants were hired on the spot. Hermes credits the quick hiring to the “face-to-face” interaction between employers and potential employees.
