Keep law-enforcement emails confidential

I have been following The Durango Herald from South America for more than 10 years. It is one of my morning-coffee moments to keep me in touch back home in the United States. Regarding your poll on law-enforcement emails as public record, emails have become an indispensable tool for rapid and professional communication. I have worked in law enforcement for a good portion of my life. Often during an investigation, confidential inquiries and communications are needed. For the sake of every person who has been proved innocent by a thorough investigation, inquires should remain confidential.
