Lieb continuing a tradition of service

As the election season is in full swing, it is important for each of us to take a closer look at the candidates eager to serve us. Among them is Bobby Lieb, candidate for county treasurer. I have known Bobby and his family for many years as neighbors and through a variety of community leadership positions. Through these years, the Lieb family has a history of service to our community.

The main function of the county treasurer’s office is to collect taxes and disburse them to the appropriate taxing districts and to maintain and invest the country’s financial resources.

When Bobby Lieb was elected as a county commissioner revenues in La Plata County were decreasing. Stewarding the resources through several rough years, Bobby’s leadership guided revenue, which is now on the incline and is forecasted to continue on that track. Bobby has the business skills, knows the real needs of the community, and has a proven record of working effectively with government and business leaders for the benefit of the citizens.

These are the key reasons I confidently believe that Bobby will perform well as our county treasurer. Take a closer look at the candidates and decide, as I have, to elect Bobby Lieb county treasurer.
