Space Business Roundtable tours Durango

This is the second annual visit by the Roundtable. This time, officials are touring AMPT, an aerospace business located next to Durango-La Plata County Airport.

Roundtable participants are also touring the airport as city of Durango and La Plata County officials study possible renovation and expansion options for the Four Corners main air hub.

Finally, the Roundtable participants will visit the Fort Lewis College Department of Physics and Engineering and hear a presentation from Durango High School’s championship aerospace team.

The Colorado Space Business Roundtable participants are on their second annual statewide tour. Participants meet with potential suppliers and subcontractors, and discuss the aerospace industry’s importance in the state.

The Roundtable is sponsored by Lockheed Martin and other major corporations. Besides Durango, participants are visiting Farmington, Montrose, Alamosa, Cañon City and Buena Vista.
