The Capitol Steps, the only comedy troupe in America that attempts to be funnier than the United States Congress, will return to Durango for a show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive. Conceived in 1981, the troupe was founded by a group of former Congressional staffers during the Reagan administration. More than three decades later, The Capitol Steps has recorded more than 30 albums and continues to put the “mock” in democracy. No party, pundit or figurehead is safe from their satire.
