Letters are enjoyable to voters

As one of the “low-information voters” out here, over the last few weeks, I have noticed the backstabbing and throat cutting in the local/state political campaigns by the writers of letters to the editor in the Herald. It is very entertaining to read the comments of supporters of each side, red or blue.

Everyone has forgotten the main point to be asked of each candidate – local, regional, state. It isn’t oil and gas, sheep or cow, needing a drink of water or a great place to tear up with your motorcycle. The question to ask of school board, county treasurer or state legislature candidate is, “Will you support a convention of the State Legislature to consider amendments to the U.S. Constitution?” The states must do their part now to protect the citizens.

Keep printing the numerous letters to the editor for the enjoyment of us “low-information voters.”
