Ignorant voters get what they deserve

Ah yes, it’s election time in America with the pungent smell of excrement wafting through the living rooms of every American voter.

Hundreds of millions of dollars are being spent on both sides, with television ads painting their opponents as mean-spirited, unprincipled, evil, scions of Beelzebub himself who, if elected, will poison the air and befoul the waters, not to mention eradicating Medicare and leaving elderly senior citizens to fend for themselves. Any voter who is dumb enough to allow themselves to be swayed by such rhetoric should not be allowed to vote.

And let us call these modern farces what they really are: auctions, not elections – for these public offices are really prizes, sold to the highest bidder and have absolutely nothing to do with the merits of the candidates or their supposed principles.

By definition, these candidates are politicians, and none of these people really has any core principles or beliefs that cannot be changed if enough money changes hands in shady back-room deals. The whole process has so sickened the American people that fewer than 50 percent will turn out to vote because they have become wise to this endless charade; candidates who will solemnly promise to do the right thing for America and then, as soon as they are elected, they forget the people whom they are sworn to represent and do the bidding of rich lobbyist lawyers and political hacks.

The American people? Forget them. They are all a bunch of unwashed, ignorant rubes. And you know what? They are right. Most Americans do not have the slightest interest in the political process, or really know what is going on in their government. With an ignorant populace that votes on feelings or skin color, we deserve what we are getting.
