I have been following the sheriff’s race in the newspaper and on Facebook. I do not know either candidate. For me, it is obvious who the best candidate is: Sean Smith. When a candidate is endorsed by the local district attorney, the local newspaper, both state and local Fraternal Order of Police and former county commissioner, that speaks volumes for that candidate, Sean Smith.

These people and entities have more insight about the candidates than the public. By his own admission, Sheriff Duke Schirard seems to spend an awful lot of time at a local pawn shop. Is that a good use of time and taxpayer money? I would think Sheriff Schirard would have better things to do. I encourage you to vote for Sean Smith.
