Zia Taqueria supports community gardens

As part of this week’s “Zia Days” celebration, Zia Taqueria is donating a portion of its profits from both its north and south locations on Nov. 10-12 to the Garden Project of Southwest Colorado to support school and community gardens in La Plata County.

“Zia believes that the Garden Project is an important part of our community,” said Tim Turner, owner and founder of Zia. “The more people understand the health benefits of locally grown and nutrient dense food, the better it will be for our community and our planet.”

For each visit to Zia Taqueria during Zia Days, guests can enter to win a $25 Zia gift card and a pair of Garden Project gardening gloves. Zia North, 3101 Main Ave., 247-3355; Zia South, 400 S. Camino del Rio, 247-1002.
