How much would you pay to own the dinosaur head that recently escaped from police custody?
With bidding on the dinosaur head at Studio & starting Wednesday, the highest bid as of Thursday morning was $300.
The silent auction ends Nov. 26, and the proceeds will go to fund art education at the Durango Arts Center. At Studio &, artist Elizabeth Kinahan said lots of people had come in, “mostly to gawk at the dinosaur head,” but many to bid.
She said the bulk of people wanted to know how the dinosaur head was constructed.
The most popular question she’d gotten about the dinosaur head from people mulling bids was whether “they can put it back on the Arc of History once they buy it.”
