Whether in boys or girls basketball, Glenwood Springs beat Ignacio at the Mountain Top Classic on Friday on the campus of Adams State University in Alamosa.

The Demon boys team beat IHS (1-2) 46-39 to give the Bobcats more losses than they had all of last year.

Ignacio’s girls team (1-2) lost 64-39.

Statistics weren’t immediately available for either game.

The IHS boys next will play Hayden at 3 p.m. Saturday, and the Bobcat girls will play Rye at a time to be determined.

Glenwood Springs, which competes in Class 3A, compared to the Class 2A Bobcats, will play Centauri on both the boys and girls sides.
