Original Obamacare fan no longer

I know many people complained about President Obama’s Affordable Health Care Act. I was not one of them. I was thrilled at the idea of getting health care that is affordable to me. I had no problems using the website. I found a plan that suited me and signed up.

That’s all changed. I received a notice that the tax credit I had went down. The plan went up in price, and as a result of this, my affordable monthly premium tripled in price. There goes the affordable health-care act. It’s no longer affordable. If this is the end result of all the politics, the hassle, the drama, what was the point?

I worked with a broker this time, although there was little she could do. There are so many glitches in the website that making any changes would cause only more frustration. The recommendation was to find a decent plan now and wait until the new year to make any changes, so at least I have coverage. We found a plan and signed up. I received verification from Connect for Health a week later. The only problem is that the premium they showed was $150 more than what I agreed to. Another glitch? Time to make phone calls and figure this all out. Thanks so much for mucking up the health-care system.
