A stretch of 13 consecutive made field goals put an end to the Demons’ hopes.
After leading 7-0 early, the Durango High School boys basketball team quickly was on the wrong end of several scoring runs by Farmington High School, as the Scorpions stormed back to earn a 63-37 victory.

The game was tied at 11 after one quarter, and the Scorpions opened up a 25-19 lead at halftime.
A run of consecutive made shots from the field hit 13 for Farmington, spanning from the second quarter until halfway through the third.
Farmington (4-2) led 48-21 with 4 minutes, 35 seconds to go in the third quarter, when DHS head coach Alan Batiste called for a timeout.
The Demons will hit the road for Pueblo later this week for three games in the Pueblo East tournament.
