There would be not letdown for the Ignacio High School boys basketball team after Thursday’s big win against Durango.
The Bobcats cruised to a 77-46 San Juan League win over Ridgway on Friday in Ridgway.
“We really talked about (not having a letdown),” IHS head coach Chris Valdez said. “We came out a little sluggish, but we were still leading after the first quarter 26-11.”
Adison Jones led the team with 19 points and 13 rebounds for the double-double.
Wyatt Hayes also added a double-double with 12 points, 10 assists and five steals, and Nick Herrera picked up one as well with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
“They weren’t a big team, but they were fast,” Valdez said of Ridgway (1-3, 0-1 SJL). “We did a good job rebounding. I thought we distributed very well with over 20 assists. Not a bad performance for our kids, especially on not having a letdown.”
IHS (6-2, 2-0 SJL) continues conference play with a home game Friday against Mancos.
