Trees to be studied from ecological viewpoint

San Juan Mountains Association is hosting a winter-ecology outing Feb. 7 to study how trees survive the winter.

The San Juan Mountains Association has announced a winter-ecology outing.

It’s 10 a.m. to noon, Feb. 7, to see how trees survive the winter and to learn what critters depend on trees for their survival.

Snowshoes are needed. They will be provided for children.

Reservations are requested. Contact MK Thompson at 759-9113 or at mk@sjma.org. The outing is limited to 20 people, ages 4 and up.
