Your 2014 property tax bill(s) have been mailed to the address you have on record with La Plata County. If you do not receive your bill in the coming week, please contact the La Plata County Treasurer’s Office. Our physical address is 1060 Main Ave., Suite 103, Durango. Or you can call us at 382-6352. We will be happy to help you with the process. Failure to receive your property tax bill, doesn’t mean you still don’t owe the bill.

You have the option of paying your property taxes in two payments or in one payment. If you choose to pay in two payments, 50 percent is due by Feb. 28, and the rest is due by June 15. If you elect to make one full payment, that amount is due by April 30. Interest will accrue if you do not pay on time.
