Twisting the night away

People twisted their bodies into all kinds of shapes Friday night at Moe’s.

After several rounds, it came down to Beth Reynolds and Madi Hogarth.

In the end, Hogarth proved to be the most flexible and won first place, earning a $50 bar tab for her and her friends.

“I just like competition, and I’m really good at yoga,” she said.

Reynolds was more than happy to win second place and subsidize her night out by winning a $25 bar tab.

Her “crazy friends” prompted her to sign up for the event after watching the parade.

“It was super fun,” Reynolds said.

Originally, the event was scheduled at 5:30 p.m., but at the suggestion of some patrons and hopeful participants, the organizer and Moe’s owner Rick Carney said he delayed it till after the parade.

“There was a lot of interest,” he said after the event. “This was the first time, and we’ll do it again.”
