Sweetie Marbury and Dick White are up for re-election in April. Both are seeking re-election, but no one else has declared an intention to run in the mail-in municipal election. Ballots go out March 23, and they will be due April 7.
Paperwork for potential candidates for Durango City Council is ready and available for pick-up at the City Clerk’s Office, 949 East Second Ave.
Two current councilors, Sweetie Marbury and Dick White, are up for re-election in April. So far, only the incumbents have announced their candidacies.
Candidates can begin collecting signatures on their petitions Feb. 11. The petitions are due March 3.
Petitions can be turned in as soon as the candidate collects 25 signatures.
Ballots will be mailed March 23 and Election Day will be April 7.
