Purgatory offers new deals

Resort adds ski privileges for 50th anniversary

Season passes for Purgatory Resort’s 50th anniversary in 2015-16 go on sale Monday.

A season pass to Purgatory will include free unlimited skiing at Arizona Snowbowl near Flagstaff and Sipapu Ski Resort and Pajarito Ski Area in northern New Mexico. Those ski areas are owned by James Coleman, who completed his purchase of Purgatory in February.

The pass also includes three free days at Taos Ski Valley in New Mexico; Loveland, Monarch, Powderhorn and Sunlight in Colorado; Grand Targhee in Wyoming; and Powder Mountain and Brian Head in Utah.

Season pass rates are:

For adults ages 30 to 64, $649.

For young adults, ages 18 to 29, $429.

For teens ages 13 to 17, $349. If buying with a parent, $299.

For a child ages 6 to 12, $309. If buying with a parent, $209.

For seniors ages 65 to 79, $429.

For “super seniors” ages 80 and older, $89.

Weekday passes are $389.

The prices are good through April 30, after which they’ll rise.

Daily window rates for 2015-16 are:

For adults ages 18 to 64, $81.

For teens ages 13 to 17, $62.

For a child ages 6 to 12, $49.

For seniors ages 65 to 79, $70.

For super seniors, $35.

Purgatory will celebrate its 50th anniversary next winter.
