At the March 19 League of Women Voters forum, the moderators asked a question about keeping Question 1-A money out of Lake Nighthorse recreation. The candidates said no, it doesn’t work that way.

For anybody who is opposed to an expensive boondoggle that should be handled by the state of Colorado, there is a surefire way to keep 1-A money out of it: for 1-A to fail.

The candidates all said we desperately need a new or remodeled airport, same with the sewer plant. We shouldn’t be talking about new recreation until we have these desperate needs out of the way.
