Man wanted for Walmart computer theft

A man is suspected of stealing five Dell computers from Walmart in a crime that police say necessitated two trips to the store.

Durango police are looking for a heavy-set man in connection with the theft.

Police say the man, wearing a gray shirt and jeans, entered Walmart about 4 p.m. Feb. 11. He placed five computers in a shopping cart, and then parked the cart near the garden center and left the store. He then returned about 7:30 p.m. and pushed the cart out of the store through a fire exit.

He is suspected of taking five Dell 3000 series, Model 3043 black computers, and a 19.5-inch touchscreen. Walmart sells the computers online for $585.36.

Those with any information regarding this theft can call Crime Stoppers at 247-1112.
