Pave County Road 120 to reduce dust

I just read the letter to the editor by Jean Graham (Herald, March 24) regarding the dust levels caused by more than 240 trucks hauling coal out of the mine owned by Grupos Cementos de Chihuahua.

I fully sympathize with the landowners who live on County Road 120. This has turned into an industrial road and, indeed, has been an industrial road for many years. If more than 240 coal trucks per day drive on this dirt road, this is a massive amount of dust being generated!

Why has the county not paved this road or required the coal mine to pay for paving this road? This is an untenable situation as it stands, and this road must be paved one way or another! What must we do, as fellow county residents, to join these homeowners on County Road 120 in making a request for this road to be paved starting as soon as possible?
