Some of the discourse on the election for City Council members has crossed the line in terms of civility. We are extremely fortunate to have someone of the caliber and integrity of Sweetie Marbury on our City Council. I have known Marbury for 15 years and always have found her honest and responsive in dealing with the public.

I support her vision for a sustainable future for Durango. While Marbury is sympathetic to the concerns of her constituents, she always leads from the front not the back.

As we will be grappling with many difficult issues in the near future, I trust that Marbury will make the right decisions to ensure that Durango continues to be a great community. I encourage everyone to reelect Marbury.
