Boaters swap items Saturday, as well

Tony Miely, co-owner of 4Corners Riversports and an avid kayaker for more than 20 years, works his magic in a rapid at Santa Rita Park last summer. 4Corners Riversports is having its annual spring boat swap and sale this weekend.

The annual 4Corners Riversports spring boat swap and sale is Saturday and Sunday at the store, 360 South Camino del Rio.

Those wanting to sell gear should fill out a swap waiver form, available online, and come to the shop between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday.

4Corners touts this as the largest boat swap in the Four Corners, according to its website. On an average year, well over 100 used boats and thousands of other items that the public brings to sell are at the swap, 4Corners says.

A free barbecue lunch provided by 92.9 The Point will be held during the station’s live broadcast from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. At 1 p.m., a new Boardworks stand-up paddleboard package will be given away; raffle tickets will be $10, and sales will benefit Animas River Days, set for May 28-31.

Also Saturday, at 2 p.m., a raft-repair clinic will be held by Erik Lang from AIRE/Inflatable Restoration and Repair.
