Health Briefs
The American Red Cross will offer the following health and safety classes at its Southwest Chapter office, 1911 Main Ave., Suite 282:
•First aid is offered online; call JoLynn for more information.
•Adult, child and infant CPR/automated external defibrillator and first aid, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $60 and includes one- and three-year certification, respectively.
•Wilderness first aid will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $165 and includes CPR certification.
•Participants may challenge any health and safety class for $25. Participants must pass the written exam and perform the skills without prompting or review. If failed, the entire course must be completed in order to obtain certification.
Classes also can be scheduled for business locations.

United Blood Services announces drives
The United Blood Services announces the following drives:
•United Blood Services office from 1 to 6 p.m. today through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 146 Sawyer Drive in Bodo Park.
•St. Mark's Episcopal Church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at 910 East Third Ave.
•Silverton Recreation Center from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Kendall Mountain Resort in Silverton.
