The Snowdown Sneer
The Snowdown Sneer has been released upon the unsuspecting masses. For the uninitiated, the Sneer is an independent publication produced by unknown residents and is not affiliated with Snowdown in any way. Its purpose is straightforward: To insult the annual winter celebration, poke fun of local officials and provide a slaughterhouse for Durango's sacred cows such as the real estate market, dog owners, Durango School District 9-R, the Sky Ute Casino and Paddy Lynch, among others. Copies have been distributed at random spots in select downtown establishments, most of which serve alcohol. Many bundles of said publication also were reportedly dumped at Magpies Newstand Café, 707 Main Ave.
