Animal Control

Saturday

2:27 p.m. A horse was in the road in the 5200 block of Florida Road (County Road 240).

Friday

5:05 p.m. A dog was in custody in the 1100 block of Camino del Rio.

Durango Police

Saturday

2:25 a.m. Four men were fighting in the east 100 block 10thStreet.

9:47 a.m. A caller said a friend was throwing out the caller’s clothing at County Road 250 and Florida Road.

3:05 p.m. A driver in a silver Jeep stopped behind a tree near Animas View Drive and Main Avenue after a one-vehicle accident. The driver was intoxicated.

Friday

4:21 p.m. A driver was cited for a right-of-way violation in a collision between a Subaru and a Toyota Highlander at Main Avenue and 15th Street.

5:28 p.m. A caller complained of harassment in the Wal-Mart parking lot, 1155 South Camino del Rio.

8:57 p.m. Two people were fighting on the ground in the 300 block of South Camino del Rio.

9:45 p.m. A 30-year-old woman was passed out in the 900 block of Main Avenue.

10:59 p.m. A hotel guest reportedly was taking pictures of deer when someone shot at the animals in the 500 block of Camino del Rio.

La Plata County Sheriff

Saturday

2:26 a.m. A man who reported he was assaulted in the 1700 block of Florida Road (County Road 240) declined to press charges.

3:01 p.m. A man was acting strangely in a cafe at County Road 124 and U.S. Highway 160, in Hesperus.

Friday

6:09 p.m. A woman heard gunshots on her property in the 15600 block of East Animas Road (County Road 250).

6:29 p.m. A man reportedly was throwing rocks at cars on Colorado Highway 3 from above the road. The man said he was only hiking.

Durango Fire & Rescue

Saturday

11:47 a.m. A slight smell of gas was reported in the 1100 block of Camino del Rio.

Friday

11:07 p.m. Gasoline spilled onto the road as a result of an accident at Camino del Rio and College Drive. No one was injured.

 

 

Bayfield

Saturday

1:17 a.m. The Bayfield Marshal’s Office was called to assist Ignacio police in the search for a person with a sawed-off shotgun near Shadow Spirit Street and Lodge Pole Way in Ignacio.
