Animal Control

Tuesday
8:13 a.m. A bird was stuck in a school cafeteria at Miller Middle School, 2608 Junction Street.

Monday
5:22 p.m. A black dog with a fluffy tail was roaming the area near Fourth Street and Eighth Avenue.

 

Durango Police

Tuesday
10:08 a.m. A driver in a transit bus hit a sign in the 800 block of Camino del Rio.

10:54 a.m. A vehicle was keyed at Mercy Regional Medical Center.

1:46 p.m. People involved in a non-injury accident were arguing in the east 100 block of 14th Street.

1:55 p.m. Three boys were skateboarding on the bike path behind the Durango Public Library, and they were not moving for others.

3:56 p.m. A woman’s trash can was stolen in the 700 block of East Fifth Avenue.

Monday
7:12 p.m. Graffiti appeared on a station wagon and a building in the 2400 block of Arroyo Drive.

8:01 p.m. A dog kept barking in the 600 block of Valentine Drive.

10:47 p.m. Several people were fighting in the 600 block of Arroyo Drive.

 

La Plata County Sheriff

Tuesday
9:02 a.m. A neighbor shot at a man in the 3900 block of County Road 105, in western La Plata County.

Monday
4:41 p.m. A woman’s vehicle was broken into at the Durango-La Plata County Airport.

10:42 p.m. Someone heard 10 gunshots in the 100 block of Ponderosa Homes Road in Vallecito.

 

Bayfield Marshal

Tuesday
7:23 a.m. A deer was hit by a car and was still alive in the 45000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

 

Durango Fire & Rescue

Tuesday
3:16 p.m. There was a burning smell inside a building in the 700 block of Camino del Rio.

 

Upper Pine Fire

Tuesday
12:22 a.m. A carbon-monoxide detector went off in the 8600 block of County Road 510, southwest of Bayfield.
