Animal Control

 

Saturday

1:11 p.m. A black Labrador was loose at 23rd Street and West Second Avenue.

Friday

11:46 p.m. A person was bitten by a dog in the first block of Hilltop Place and had to go to the emergency room.

Durango Police

Saturday

12:02 a.m. Two men were fighting in the 600 block of East Second Avenue.

1:57 a.m. People were trying to steal a vehicle in the 600 block of Arroyo Drive.

8:50 a.m. A building in the 1500 block of Main Avenue had been broken into overnight.

12:43 p.m. An intoxicated man was causing problems at a restaurant in the 1500 block of Main Avenue.

12:53 p.m. A GMC truck was broken down and partially blocking traffic at Avenida del Sol and Roosa Avenue.

1:16 p.m. A man was hitchhiking with a small child in the 21000 block of U.S. Highway 160 west.

Friday

5:20 p.m. A cell phone was taken from an incapacitated man in the west 100 block of 10th Street, behind El Rancho Tavern.

6:26 p.m. A customer had an iPod and other items stolen from the 2700 block of Main Avenue.

9:53 pm. A person broke a window and entered a building in the 1200 block of Florida Road.

La Plata County Sheriff

Saturday

2:33 a.m. A man said his roommate was intoxicated and was hitting him in the 200 block of north Stage Crest Lane.

12:35 p.m. A man said his tires had been slashed Monday, and hunters harassed him Saturday at U.S. Highway 550 and County Road 252, in the Trimble area.

Friday

11:25 p.m. A Winchester rifle had been stolen within the last week from the 5000 block of County Road 509.

Bayfield Marshal

Friday

6:34 p.m. Four or five cows were in the road in the 6000 block of County Road 501. They later returned to a pasture.

Fort Lewis College

Friday

8:01 p.m. Two drunken males were with a small child near the Community Concert Hall, and a caller was concerned about the child’s welfare. The child was released to a sober grandmother.
