Animal Control

Sunday

2:06 p.m. A golden retriever had been tied to a stop sign for a long time in the 600 block of Main Ave.

Saturday

6:11 p.m. A dog was tied to a stop sign at East Third Avenue and Eleventh Street.

Durango Police

Sunday

1:12 a.m. A caller said her boyfriend was assaulted and had a laceration on his head in the 1200 block of Avenida del Sol.

1:35 a.m. A man was trying to steal items from the office of The Durango Kid in the 600 block of Main Avenue.

7:24 a.m. A 1983 Chevy pickup with a plow was reported stolen from Hillcrest Golf Club maintenance shop.

Saturday

4:45 p.m. A man in a black hooded sweatshirt took a bicycle in the 3100 block of Main Avenue.

6:27 p.m. A caller's parked vehicle was hit in the west 100 block of 28th Street.

8:55 p.m. A man was passed out on the sidewalk at Main Avenue and Seventh Street.

9:11 p.m. Someone was trying to get in the house of the caller's grandmother in the 700 block of East Third Avenue.

10:23 p.m. A caller complained of a party in the alley in the east 200 block of College Drive.

11:12 p.m. A cab fare reported the driver was threatening and driving erratically.

11:17 p.m. Police responded to a neighborhood disturbance where someone reportedly had a knife in the 600 block of Arroyo Drive.

9:41 a.m. A break-in was attempted on Crocus Court in Rockwood.

12:56 p.m. A deer was injured in the 2300 block of County Road 220, south of Durango.

Saturday

6:21 p.m. A caller said two men were hunting and shooting near his home after sundown in the 2700 block of County Road 334, east of Ignacio.

8:40 p.m. A caller heard shots in the 1500 block of County Road 509, southwest of Bayfield.

11:03 a.m. A caller in the 900 block of east Oak Drive heard bullets ricochet off rocks in her backyard.

8:17 p.m. A marijuana smell was reported in West Hall.

11:51 p.m. A caller said a person who took a golf cart for a "joy ride" dropped his cell phone, and he had called and wanted to pick it up.
