Wilma 'Willie' McCoy
Known as "Willie," she was born in Durango on Sept. 23, 1950.
She married Wayne McCoy in Durango. He said she was his best friend.
Her family said she was a dedicated dental assistant for more than 30 years for Dr. Elyse Klingener.
"She loved life and touched countless people with her compassion," her family wrote.
Mrs. McCoy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Wayne McCoy, of Durango; sons Jason McCoy and Bryan McCoy, both of Phoenix; and six grandchildren.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1800 East Third Ave., Suite 101, Durango, CO 81301.
