The Womenade Council is sincerely grateful to donors for their generosity toward women in our community. The September Womenade fundraiser helped five women with one-time grants needed for new tires, utility bills and child care.

Our goal with each event is to provide financial help for women in our community who are normally self-sufficient and experiencing an unexpected financial hardship. Without this help, these women would begin a downward spiral that would be difficult to recover from, even in the best of times.

We would like to thank the Women’s Resource Center for continuing to help us navigate through these unprecedented times. They provide us the ability to make decisions that would benefit applicants from the funds received. We cannot do this without their help.

The next Womenade fundraiser is scheduled for Nov. 16. Given the current and anticipated financial situations of many of our community members, we are expecting an increase in requests for financial help.
