p> The Bayfield High School girls varsity cross country team, from left to right,

Lisa Wickman, Gabby Grenier, Makaila Miller, Adel Vaughn, Haley Fleming, Erika Newell and Nicole Cyr will join the BHS boys varsity (Derek Laue, John Cusick, Cole Bryson, Scott Flint, Zeb Cyr and Jacob Hetrick) at the Class 3A State Championships this weekend in Fort Collins. Coached by Pat Vaughn, Bayfield had three All-Region runners last weekend in Aspen: Laue won his fifth consecutive race this season, and Cusick finished sixth, while freshman Nicole Cyr finished 10th at Regionals. The BHS boys finished second at Regionals, while the BHS girls finished third as both teams qualified for this weekend’s state meet.
