When is the Herald's Web site updated?
Weekdays, the day's top stories are posted on the site by 9:30 a.m. local time,
often by 9 a.m. Additional content is posted throughout the day. Breaking local
news stories are updated as events warrant. In those instances, the time an
update is posted is noted on the homepage.
When are the classified ads posted?
Classified ads from the printed version of the Herald are posted and remain
on the site for a week. They are usually posted by 9 a.m. on the day of
publication of the printed Herald. The e-herald
Is all of the content from the printed Herald available on the site?
The eEdition lets you navigate an exact replica of the printed newspaper. You can flip through pages and skim headlines just as you would with the printed the newspaper in your hands. The free online version (http://www.durangoherald.com) of the Herald provides most of the local articles and opinion pieces written by staff reporters and columnists. Occasionally articles of local interest from The Associated Press are made available. Letters to the editor are available only in the printed Herald.
Are the articles on the Web site exact copies of printed articles?
Not always. When identified, corrections and updates are made
in the online copy.
Where can I find an archive of older articles?
During the 2001 summer, Herald Online Services revised the http://www.durangoherald.com
site to provide some article archives. Use the ARTICLE SEARCH function
to locate articles of interest by date for News, Sports, Business, Arts &
Entertainment, Health, Religion, and Technology. E.g. you can find

Back issues of the printed Herald are available for a month or more and may be purchased at the office at 1275 Main Ave. or by contacting the Circulation Department (970) 247-3504. Older issues are available for public review in bound volumes at 1275 Main Ave., Durango.
